I have kept many journals over the years and due to my love of travel, they have all turned into travel journals along the way. Here are 5 reasons why you should start a travel journal right now!

Download and print off maps and pictures of where you’re going. Write up a bucket list for the things you want to do when you arrive. Have fun and get inspired!
Write about what you did, how you got lost and glue in concert tickets, photos, postcards and train stubs. Add anything that reminds you of where you’ve been so you have beautiful collages to remember your trip by.
What better way to fantasize about all the places you have yet to explore? It’s a great way to stay inspired about where you want to go while you have to stay where you are.
Add a budget into your journal for how you will save up for your next adventure. Additionally you can include how you will spend money during your adventure! Maps, clippings and all those pictures of the Eiffel Tower will help motivate you to save save save!
I often find that writing or gluing old photos into my travel journal really helps me to relax when I’m stressed out. More and more studies are being done to show that drawing, colouring and art are good for your brain and promote relaxation. Furthermore who doesn’t love being able to look at something beautiful and say “I made that!”
